Transform your smile

Unleash your radiant confidence with professional teeth whitening

Your smile is extremely important

  • Teeth are what we immediately notice when we meet someone
  • A healthy and white smile is really important – it makes you feel great and full of self-confidence, and you leave a great first impression on everyone.

Why are teeth yellow and why they change color?

There are numerous causes of tooth discoloration. They can be divided into external and internal. xternal causes of discoloration are most often lifestyle habits such as smoking, drinking coffee and dark drinks.

Internal causes

The internal causes of tooth discoloration are more complex, and may be the result of deposition of pigments in the tooth structure itself, such as staining from certain antibiotics, consequences of genetics, aging or due to the death of the nerve inside the tooth (loss of vitality), as well as incorrect treatment.

External causes

External discolorations are easier to treat than internal ones, for which the bleaching process takes longer and differs depending on the cause. Bleaching can be done in the office, at home and whitening of vital teeth.

Professional teeth cleaning

Before each whitening, we suggest and in agreement with the patient, we do a thorough cleaning of the teeth, which includes removing tartar, sandblasting and polishing all teeth. Of course, it goes without saying that the teeth must be healthy (no caries, inflamed gums, etc.).

  • We place retractors in the oral cavity and coat the gums with protective gel.
  • We start the first whitening cycle.
  • We apply a whitening gel to the teeth (based on hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide). The gel is activated by the light of the flash lamp. This procedure is repeated twice for 15 minutes (within one session).

Tooth protection

After the teeth whitening treatment, the teeth are coated with preparations containing CPP-ACPF. This increases enamel remineralization.

Note: Teeth whitening is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women, as well as immunocompromised people with severe systemic diseases and people with uncontrolled diabetes.

In our clinic for in-office teeth whitening, we use the Flash lamp, a novelty from the German company White Smile, the latest method of high-performance LED technology with a spectrum of high-intensity focused light.

White Smile Flash teeth whitening lamp was created as a result of extensive user research around the world and uses many new and modernized functions:

“Guided treatment” guides you through the application step by step to fantastically white teeth.

The determined shades of the teeth before and after the treatment are automatically evaluated. Various whitening programs offer individual treatment planning.

High power LEDs provide ideal light activation of the flash gel for optimal results.

As home teeth whitening materials, you can use carbamide peroxide preparations of various concentrations of 10-22%.

  • We take an impression of your teeth.
  • Based on the impression, foils are made that follow your gums and protect them.
  • You come for foils, whitening gel and more precise instructions for use.
  • A gel is placed in the foil, and the foil is worn for a certain period of time.

The length of the therapy is agreed by the dentist with you, depending on the current color of the teeth and the desired results.

Whitening of a vital – dead tooth is a complex procedure that is performed exclusively in the doctor’s office.

Before starting the procedure, imaging and a detailed examination are necessary to determine if retreatment is necessary.

Since vital teeth do not respond well to classic whitening, endodontic whitening is used. That is, a special technique known as “walking bleach” is performed, which is based on whitening “from the inside out”.

First, part of the filling is removed and a bleaching gel based on hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide is introduced through the opening.
When the bleach is adapted, the tooth is closed with a temporary filling.
After 7 days, the gel in the tooth changes.

The procedure is repeated until the desired whiteness is achieved, only then is the tooth filled with a white filling that matches the new shade.
Avital teeth do not have a nerve, so the entire procedure is completely painless and unobtrusive, but must be performed exclusively by an experienced dentist.

In some cases, the teeth become temporarily sensitive to cold during and after the treatment.
